A bilingual tale discovered by brushing the pages of a sculptural book.

In the heart of the Old Town, Nokinomo designed a narrative installation in the form of an open book. The story is projected onto sculptural furniture that becomes a living, interactive surface. Visitors explore the tale through gesture: by brushing the set as if turning the pages, they reveal the scenes and the illustrations by Saudi artist Ethar Balkhair.

The first double page presents the tale in its two languages: on the right, the English title The Chest of Loyalty – A Tale from the Town of AlUla; on the left, its Arabic equivalent. Depending on the page opened, visitors discover the story in the corresponding language, carried by the narrator's voice.

Each double page also triggers a wall animation that extends the reading into the space. The book becomes an interface, the voice guides the story, and interaction naturally links gesture, image and narrative. An intuitive experience where technology steps aside in favour of immersion.
