Sephora flip-dot wall

A wall of 90 flip-dot panels welcoming customers to the concept store.

At the entrance to Sephora's concept store in Milan, a flip-dot wall welcomes customers.

This technology uses small two-sided metal discs, black and white, mounted on a matrix. With each change, the discs flip over, reveal their other side and make a distinctive metallic sound.

Linked together to form one large mechanical display, the 90 panels come alive to compose images and text. The result, visible from the street, is spectacular, and the little sounds of the animations catch customers' attention.
