Wall of contributions, Dynamo exhibition, Grand Palais Museum, Paris

NFC, smartphone application, interface design, contribution

From 10 April to 22 July 2013, the Dynamo exhibition at the Grand Palais invites visitors, smartphone at the ready, to celebrate a century of light and movement in art. Orange and the RMN National Museum Association designed and created a dynamic experience that exploits digital technology. The mobile application created gives access to 35 representative works out of the 250 on display. It allows visitors to share a personalized slant on these works via photographs, written or oral commentary, by scanning the NFC tag with a smartphone. This creates an individual visitors book.

At the final stage of the visit, a huge digital wall displays in real time the contributions made by visitors, the statistics (number of visitors, number of contributions, contributions by media-type, plus a hit list of the works having inspired the most contributions) and an illuminated news-sheet on which the tweets related to the event are displayed.
